Wil Lyons, Managing Director of Artefact Ltd, is a highly experienced brand advisor and graphic designer who has spent most of his working life in the Graphic Design and Branding business. He has worked in senior creative positions for more than 12 years in some of Dublin’s highest profile and longest established creative agencies. This has given Wil extensive exposure to working with some of Ireland’s, UK’s and international top FMCG, Pharma/Healthcare, SME/Corporate, Government/Semi-State brands.
In 1999 Wil, with his then partner Gerry Manning, started his own agency, Artefact Ltd. Wil is an excellent communicator ‘a natural people person’. With all these qualities, Wil grew the business from one person up to 8 full-time designers and personnel by 2008, servicing many of Ireland’s top brands and companies. Many of those early clients are still working with Artefact Ltd today and may new clients come to artefact by referral/word of mouth.
Now in it’s 20th year, with a strong team of top creatives, marketeers and strategic partners, Artefact has managed to maintain and grow strong client relationships. Outstanding customer service, close client relationship, great ideas having a sense of humour is at the heart of Wil’s strategy. Because Artefact is not a huge company, we are usually able to provide faster and more personalised customer service than many of our competitors. We generally provide better value and some of the high priced larger agencies, without compromising on the quality of the work, expertise or customer service. Over the years Artefact had developed a niche for Branding and Packaging design for Food, Beverage and Pharma companies. This is a very specialised niche in the field of design. Even today more than 50% of our client base are Pharmaceutical and FMCG companies. Over time, as technology has improved, Wil saw the value of adding Digital design and marketing services to the business as most customers today require a full-service for print and digital. (Check out our full range of website design & digital marketing services). Interestingly, Artefact’s very first job back in November 1999 was a Website design and build for a large corporate company! This was before broadband was around and computers were very basic. Wil designed and built it himself in html from scratch. 20 years later, that client is still a good customer!
In recent years, Artefact has developed partnerships with very select complimentary services companies to enhance our service offering, so no job is too small or too large. Very few in the creative/branding business have Wil’s experience, expertise and insight, and together with our hand picked creative team, can provide our clients with exceptional value and benefits to help grow their revenue and brand image across key communication channels.

Wil was also identified as a key packaging design expert for a widely publicised high court case between two high profile competing bread manufacturers! Needless to say, the side that Wil testified on behalf of won the case!
